I said I wouldn't...

...but I lied.

Please keep in mind this is *very* work in progress, but the labour of the last two months (mostly mind bending code) has finally produced a little stuff worth looking at I think. Only a couple thousand hours of work left here haha.

Only the centre panel is remotely complete, minus some shading and weathering, and the rest is basically untextured still. Everything you see though works, and this is the kind of detail you can expect throughout the pit in the finished product. :)

That's looking really good. Can't wait to see how the night lighting is with those 3-D gauges.

Thanks Doug. The night lighting has been finished for a good while actually, but I'm keeping that a surpise. ;)

Photoshoped ! ;P

We won't believe you until we see a movie... in full HD... in different lighting conditions.

See this happens when you show your work prematurely, hope you learned your lesson... and we are waiting for that video. ;]

Oh yeah, didn't Lotus Films used to do movies or something? ;)
looks great

Movies? What are those? Moving pictures and stuff? :)

And yeah there's a lot of photoshop in that image, about 500 hours worth I'd guess, hehe.

I don't really have time to make movies of it, but there will be a rather big one when the plane's done of course. Until then, full speed ahead.

That's a hilarious card. Wonder from when that is. Cheers, that made my morning!

That card is *awesome*.

Merry Christmas guys, have a good day all of you. And Lotus...get some sleep!

Sundowner said...

Vlad, that card is from 1980s, unfortunately don't know the year exactly. If I remember correctly, It was posted some time ago by Joe "Hoser" Satrapa - a legend figure in US Navy fighters community (now flying Grumman S-2 tanker)

hurry with the damn plane already. im tired of waiting. if you would have started the project 3 months earlier we wouldnt be in this mess

Lotus / Ramasurinen said...

Hahaha, you're in a mess? You should see what I have on my plate every day. :)

Quality takes time. Slightly higher quality takes exponentially more time. It can be done quickly or it can be done well. I prefer the latter. :)
