It certainly was a long wait, and it was worth it. The only fault I can find in the entire plane is that the back half of it isn't modeled in the VC, and this is something I think should be standard now.
Track-irs are almost a necessity for FSX now and they need to be planned for I'm afraid.
I understand the reasons for it perfectly, and I can overlook it, but I let them know as nicely as I could that including an optional full VC model would be the icing on the cake for this one.
Still it's an incredible machine, one that instantly brought back memories of the insane RTW trip Peb and I did in them a couple years ago.
I also noticed that it's not quite as ornery as its predecessor in the torque department. I'm not sure if that's an improvement or not, just different, but I like it. Though I do like the fact the old one tended to fight with you a bit, it made you work for a good flight. :)
I'm happy with my spit. Flies like dream, torque is okay. Love the stall effect. I only have have a terrible v-sync problem, the prop looks awful! But that is not realair fault ofcourse.
Jet, I'll take my comment back. Didn't know i was one of Lotus' comments.
Lotus: I have FSX and was under (or is it in?) the assumption that I already had my V-sync on 'force on'. But it wasn't. But now it is and it nakes a hell of a difference. Thank you (again). But how do you know I have a nvidia video card?
Glad it works a bit better for you Bangelore. And I didn't know if you had an ATI or Nvidia card, and since Nvidia has a greater market share I just took a guess.
But it doesn't really matter which card you have. Vsync used to be on by default in FSX but it was broken in SP2, so both ATI and Nvidia have to force it on in the driver to make it work now. Worse still it's totally hopeless in DX10, can't even be forced through the driver, and that makes DX10 mode unusable for me sadly. Screen tearing gives me a migraine in minutes. Ugh.

I've got mine! Loving it!
My fs2004 favourite finally for FSX. That was a long wait. Thansk for the tip...

And Jet1954: I'm happy for you...
Actually, bangelore, I didn't say that, Lotus did. Look at his slide show and read the caption on one of the first Spitfire images :)
Jet, glad you liked that one. :) It was late and I was in a mood hehe.
Bangelore, are you using the old fs9 one in FSX? If so, yeah the prop will look awful. As for Vsync, just force it on in your nvidia control panel.
That is a very unique header you've put up! A nice change, and shows a very mundane and vigorous image of the Rafale. It looks so cool!
